2019 Labyrinth Day Celebration Fun and Photos

Many thanks to all who participated and assisted in our Labyrinth Day celebration. The day began with light rain and then cleared up just as we began to gather for our drum circle that was led with great joy by Catherine Campanaro. The beautiful new wooden gateway, that welcomes you as you enter the path to the Labyrinth, was blessed with a new set of prayer flags. The prayer flags that surround the labyrinth have prayers, helpful guidance and meditative quotes, written by the Prince of Peace Congregation and visitors to the Labyrinth Day Celebration over the years. The sun came out as many of us walked the labyrinth together at 1:00 and we joined hands as we reached the center.

Labyrinth Day 2019 Celebration – May 4th

We invite everyone in the community to join us in celebrating Labyrinth Day on Saturday, May 4th. We are excited to, once again, offer a drum circle and some refreshments before we walk the labyrinth together at 1:00. The festivities will begin at 11:30 and end at 2:00. Please park on the Prince of Peace parking area and proceed through the back of the church to the labyrinth which is located behind The House Next Door.

Photos and Memories of our Spring Equinox Luminary Walk

Photos From Our Spring Equinox Concert on the night of a “Super Worm Moon” and Luminary Lit Labyrinth Walk

After enjoying a tasty soup supper in our community room, we all proceeded outside to a joyful and meditative presentation by Dale Selover Froehlke and Pastor Peter Froehlke. Doug and Megan Helvering supplied a musical chanting as poems and prayers were offered to all that came to walk the labyrinth on this special evening. We all gathered around the labyrinth to join in the ceremony, then as the daylight slowly receeded and the luminaries lit the path, we all walked the labyrinth before proceeding in for John Franek’s Anno creative and meditative concert that benefits world hunger. It was an amazing and memorable experience. Thanks to all for joining in the fun.

This special candlelit walk is offered as a complement to John Franek’s Anno concert, which begins at 7:30. You are welcome to come and go during the concert.
Please help to preserve a contemplative atmosphere by maintaining silence in the church building.
Note that the 2019 spring equinox coincides with a full moon,
which rises at about 6:50 pm.

First Successful Epiphany Labyrinth Walk With Illuminaries

The night was especially joyful for those of us who gathered to share food, wine and lemonade. We all proceeded outside, after the lovely pot luck dinner, to appreciate the over 75 luminaries that brought light to the labyrinth. We then walked through the paths of the labyrinth together until we reached the middle, prayed and gave thanks for the opportunity to gather in our wonderful community labyrinth and enjoy the lovely star filled evening. The memorable event concluded after all of us quietly walked out of the labyrinth as a group.

World Labyrinth Day 2018 Event and Photos

Our World Labyrinth Day 2018 Celebration was a perfectly beautiful day. The addition of having a drum circle was an especially fun, welcoming, and meditative experience. We are hoping to include the drum circle to our celebration every year. There was food and drink offered at our new outdoor worship space behind Prince Of Peace and the House Next Door was open for a tour of our spiritual center. All are welcome to come and walk our labyrinth year round and enjoy all the beautiful landscaping that we keep improving.
